Stretch marks are purple-red streaky scars that appear on overstretched skin. It is believed that stretch marks are caused from the damaged structure of collagen and elastin in the area which grows quickly. Around half of all pregnant women will develop stretch marks (striae gravidarum), usually in the third trimester, as the abdominal skin is forced to accommodate the growing uterus. Some pregnant women also develop stretch marks on the breasts, hips, buttocks and thighs. Another common cause of stretch marks is rapid weight gain or weight loss. Depending on the skin type, fresh stretch marks can be pink, purple, brown or red. Over time, the stretch marks lose their bright colouring and become silvery, shimmering lines.

Methylsilanolmannuronate

Methylsilanol mannuronate in nanosphere.

Nanosphere protein technology controls the elasticity of connective tissue fibers to help keep damaged tissue from losing its elasticity and texture.


Shea butter 

Shea butter is an excellent emollient. Its rich content of bio-active triterpene esters such as lupeol and amyrin cinnamates provide beneficial effects including anti-irritancy, anti-inflammatory and enhanced UV-B protection.

Centella asiatica extract

Centella asiatica extract: has a very positive effect on increasing circulation in the skin, as well as assisting with the proper functioning and formation of collagen, by modulating the action of the fibroblast. It has excellent anti-oxidant properties and helps to improve the firmness, tone and elasticity of the skin, thereby improving the appearance of the skin in general. Furthermore, it promotes vein and capillary health in the skin and is a good general tonic for the skin.


Aloe vera extract

Directions:
Apply lavishly to areas with stretch marks after a bath or shower. Massage into the skin in a circular motion in an upward direction 1-2 times/day. For the best results, use the cream regularly, early in pregnancy, before any stretch marks appear. Continue to apply until at least 2 months after your baby is born.
